Sustainable, Resilient, and Nourishing

Our commitment to permaculture is the cornerstone of our farming philosophy.

It's not just about growing crops; it's about cultivating a thriving ecosystem where every plant, herb, and vegetable has a purpose and works in harmony with the land. Through no-till practices and thoughtful design, we prioritize long-term ecosystem health and resilience, creating a fertile environment that supports a diverse array of perennial herbs, fruits, and seasonal vegetables.

In our garden, you’ll find aromatic herbs like sage, oregano, and rosemary flourishing together, creating a fragrant tapestry of flavors that enhance the landscape and provide a sustainable source of nutrition. Each of these offerings is nurtured to perfection using natural methods that honor the land and promote biodiversity.

Our Hoophaus allows us to extend our growing season, creating an adaptable microclimate that supports seedlings and plants with temperature control.

Whether starting early in the season or growing late into the fall, our greenhouse is an essential part of our season helping to ensure strong, healthy plants that thrive in our ecosystem.

Our off-grid water system relies on rainwater catchment, eliminating the need for energy-intensive treatment processes.

This sustainable approach not only conserves water but also reduces costs and environmental impact, reflecting our dedication to responsible farming practices. By using rainwater, we can nourish our crops while minimizing our footprint, all while staying in tune with the natural rhythms of the environment.

At the tiny farm we are dedicated to cultivating more than just food; nurturing a vibrant environment, fostering a strong sense of community, shaping a sustainable future for farming that honors both the land and those who care for it. Through mindful practices and a deep respect for nature, we aim to inspire others to join us in creating a world where agriculture nourishes both people and the planet.

 Pollinators of Health and Harmony

Our bees are not only fascinating creatures to observe, but they are vital for pollinating the crops that we grow on our farm.

By keeping bees, we contribute to the health and biodiversity of our local environment. Bees play a crucial role in the reproductive cycles of many plant species, including those that provide habitat and food for other wildlife. By maintaining healthy and thriving bee populations, we help to support a healthy and diverse ecosystem on our farm and beyond.

We are committed to protecting and supporting these vital pollinators. We work hard to maintain healthy and thriving bee populations, providing them with the food, water, and shelter they need to thrive. We believe that by taking care of our bees, we are also taking care of our planet and our community.

Clover honey is a popular and versatile variety known for its light, mild flavor and golden color.

Derived from the nectar of clover flowers, this honey is prized for its delicate taste and numerous health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, clover honey helps combat oxidative stress, supporting overall immune function and promoting skin health.

This honey also has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great remedy for soothing sore throats and promoting digestive health. Its mild sweetness makes it a perfect addition to teas, baked goods, and dressings.

At The Tiny Farm, we are proud to offer raw clover honey, harvested with care to preserve its natural goodness. By choosing our honey, you support local beekeepers and contribute to the health of our bees and surrounding ecosystems.

Wildflower honey, in particular, is highly beneficial due to its diverse mix of nectar sources.

Bees collect nectar from various wildflowers in their foraging range, which results in a honey that contains a wide range of beneficial compounds.

Rich in antioxidants, wildflower honey helps protect the body against free radicals that can cause cellular damage. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent natural remedy for coughs, sore throats, and other respiratory issues.

At The Tiny Farm, we believe in the power of raw wildflower honey to support our health and well-being. By offering raw wildflower honey for sale, we hope to provide our community with a healthy alternative to processed sweeteners, while also supporting the biodiversity of our local ecosystem.

We believe in the power of community and collaboration.

When we run out of our own honey stock, we turn to our friends within our "community hive" - other local beekeepers and farmers - to source raw and liquid wildflower honey to supplement our supplies.

By doing so, we not only continue to provide our clients with the high-quality honey they expect from us, but we also benefit other local farms by supporting their bee populations and boosting their crop production.

This approach aligns with our mission of uniting permaculture farming practices with family nutrition and local economic development. We believe that by working together, supporting each other and sharing resources, we can create a more vibrant, sustainable, healthy and resilient local economy that promotes the well-being of the community.
